2025/2026 NDDC Post-Graduate Scholarship For Nigerian Students

The NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship is an initiative of the Niger Delta Development Cooperation under the sponsorship of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is offering a foreign post graduate scholarship program as part of its human resource development initiatives to give Niger Deltans the training and skills they need to effectively participate in the current administration’s local content program and compete internationally in a variety of professional disciplines.

The NDDC Scholarship is for candidates who meet the requirements and have earned relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees from reputable universities.

Requirements for NDDC Post-Graduate Scholarship

• Be from the Niger Delta Region
• Have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
• Have First Degree with minimum of 2nd Class-Lower division for those wishing to undertake a Master’s Programme
• Not belong to any cult group and must not have any criminal record
• Have gained admission for a Post Graduate Programme in any of the listed disciplines above, in a Foreign University
• Must not be more than 40 years

Selection Process

Selection Process

1. Initial application: Interested candidates must submit an online application via the Commission's Website.

2. Preliminary Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the following criteria: 

               i. WASSCE/NECO results

               Ii. Undergraduate degree classification (1st Class, Second Class Upper/Lower)

                Iii. Local Government Identification

3. Computer-Based Test: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a computer-ase test conducted by our consultants in River State.

4. Minimum Test Score: Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 70% in the test to proceed to the next stage.

5. Further Shortlisting: Candidates who successfully pass the test will be further shortlisted.

6. Final Verification: The final verification of the candidates will be done through the Local Government Area (LGA) and Community Development Committee (CDC)

• Post Graduate admission letter from a recognized Oversea University. Relevant degrees from recognized Universities.

• NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
• Guarantor’s written consent of good conduct of the applicant from any of the following persons from the applicant’s Community/Clan

  • Member of National Assembly/State House of Assembly

  • Chairman of LGA

  • First Class Traditional ruler

  • High Court Judge
