Benefits of METU Undergraduate Scholarship

The winners of the Excellence Scholarship are eligible to get 500 EUR discount/semester (1000 EUR discount/year).

The winners of the Excellence Scholarship are also eligible to receive the discount during the rest of their studies subject to the following conditions:

1. Oustanding study performance
2. They fulfill an internship of 60 hours/ semester at one of the administrative offices of METU, starting from the second semester. The tasks may include: sales and marketing tasks, representation on higher education fairs, organizing student events etc.

Requirements for METU Undergraduate Scholarship

All international METU applicants for each study program

Applicants showing particular academic excellence /Bachelor’s level/:

1. English level min. C1
2. Excellent performance at the Skype interview during the application process
3. In case Math test is needed, the applicant should reach min 80%
4. In case of Art and Design Programs, the professors should give a high rating for the design portfolio (min. 30/35)

High-school GPA and grades min. 80% e.g.:

1. SAT 1280/1600
2. IB 6/7
3. Cambridge IGCSE min. 2 A or 4 AS levels
4. We also accept all other national / international High-school diplomas; the GPA always has to be above 80%

Applicants showing particular academic excellence /Master’s level/:

1. English level min. C1
2. Excellent performance at the Skype interview during the application process
3. In case of Art and Design Programs, the professors should give a high rating for the design portfolio (min. 30/35)
4. Bachelor’s GPA min. 80%, in case it’s available at your previous university, min. First Class Bachelor Hons Degree

Selection Process

1. The final decision about the scholarship allocation will be made by the Admission Committee
2. The maximum number of scholarship winners is 30 students
