Government of Azerbaijan 2021-2022 Fully Funded Scholarship

The Educational Grant (hereafter “scholarship”) Programmes provide an opportunity for selected candidates on annual basis to study in the leading universities of Azerbaijan.

The scholarship is available at the preparatory courses, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, general medicine/residency programmes.

Benefits of Government of Azerbaijan Undergraduate Scholarship

1. Tuition fees
2. International flight (once in a year, economy class)
3. Monthly allowance (800 AZN, includes meals, accommodation and cost of utilities)
4. Medical insurance
5. Visa and registration cost

Requirements for Government of Azerbaijan Undergraduate Scholarship

In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship, applicants must:

1. Citizens of the OIC and the NAM member countries
2.  For undergraduate and general medicine programmes – citizens younger than 25
3. For graduate and residency programmes – citizens younger than 30
4. For doctoral programmes – citizens younger than 40

The candidates must:

1. Be officially nominated by respective state entities of their country (Ministries, Embassies, etc.) to the Embassies or to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Selection Process

The selection process will cover two stages:

1. Review of the relevant documents
2. Interviews (online/Skype)
3. The candidates will be informed about the results by July, 2021

Note: Universities will get in touch with the shortlisted applicants for institutional admission procedures

Application Documents

To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;

1. Completed application form
2. Diplomas or Transcripts from prior High School or University studies
3. Copy of Passport
4. Document on general health status (including HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B and C tests)
5. CV or Resume
6. Motivation Letter
7. Proof of English  Proficiency (for programmes in foreign languages: for undergraduate programmes IELTS 5, TOEFL 40, for other programmes IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 50)

Note: All documents must be translated into English or Russian and notarized.
