University of West London Full Time Undergraduate Bursary Scheme UK 2019-2020

The University of West London is currently accepting application for its undergraduate bursary scheme scholarship for 2019/2020 section. Eligible applicants are advised to apply early to stand a chance of the scholarship.
The successful applicants will be awarded the sum of £1,500.
Before the are awarded, the applicants and sponsors will first have to apply for a means tested student support from Student Finance England and given consent to share information in order that their declared household income can be verified (applicable to ‘Home’ fees paying student only). They must also meet other criteria as well.
Application deadlines:
- September 2019 starters - 30 September 2019.
- January 2020 starters - 7 February 2020

Requirements for University of West London Undergraduate Scholarship
Students must fulfil all criteria below:
- Be paying ‘Home’ or ‘EU’ fees
- Be from a household with an income of less than £25,000 per annum. Applicants and sponsors must have applied for means tested student support from Student Finance England and given consent to share information in order that their declared household income can be verified (applicable to ‘Home’ fees paying student only)
- Have accepted an offer of a place on an undergraduate course at the UWL and be due to start their course in September 2019 or January 2020
The following applicants are not eligible:
- Students on a BA/BSc/BEng with Foundation Year (will automatically be eligible for the Path to Success Scholarship – no application is necessary)
- International students
- Students undertaking a postgraduate qualification
- Any other students whose fees are paid or part-paid through a sponsorship arrangement (eg Degree Apprentices, collaborative students or NHS sponsored)
- Students studying part-time
Selection Process
Notifications of award will be conditional on:
- Confirmation that applicants have met the condition of their offer and have fully enrolled at UWL
- Any evidence required as stated above
If the number of applications received is over 550, priority will be given to:
- Care leavers
- Disabled students
- Early applicants
Final allocation will be made once applicants have fully enrolled with the University and checks of attendance and engagement are confirmed.
Application Documents
Applicants should provide the following documents with their application form:
- Confirmation of Offer from the University of West London (only if applying prior to enrolment)
- Applicants in receipt of a maintenance loan from SFE who have not given consent to share information with the University will have to submit evidence of the total household income (ie both parents or independent students) – a P60 for the financial year ending April 2019, three months of payslips or proof of benefit entitlement
- EU students not in receipt of a maintenance loan and unable to provide the evidence above must submit a certified translation and originals of documents evidencing their household income in their home country (ie end of financial year tax return, formal letter of employment with salary breakdown or social security support letter)
